Welcome to the web site of Collingwood AC. Our aim is to welcome everyone who wants to run, irrespective of experience or ability. We run because we love running. We run in all weathers, on all surfaces and no-one runs alone.

We have a new list of club championship races for the 2023/24 season

Well done to the winner of the 49th Recurring Handicap - Lorraine.

The club was saddened to hear of the death of one of our long term member Robbie Red Hat Wilson. Robbie joined the club in 1979 and many of us will have run with him and benefitted from his guidance and wisdom. One of my first club runs was with Robbie and he was supportive and encouraged me to sign up for events in order to focus training.
Robbie was a prolific marathon runner and was partly responsible for the number of 100 Club members we have had over the years. Ria found an article in the now defunct Sutton Herald (1984) covering Robbie’s 50th birthday which he celebrated by running in the Sutton Marathon (not sure when that was last held) and raised around £500 for Carshalton War Memorial Hospital. By a random fluke his number at this event was 446 also his final number of marathons (thanks to Steve for spotting this).
Gloria has asked that any donations be made to Lewy Body Dementia or Parkinson’s Disease in the name of “Robbie Red Hat Wilson”

Congratulations to Karen Chart - reaching her 100th marathon on 24/07/22.

Congratulations to Paul Cooper on his 100th marathon 22/10/21.

Lisa Rooney represented Surrey in the SEAA Inter-County XC at Oxford 07/12/19

Latest scoring in the 2019/20 Club Competitions is on the Competitions page now (26/01/20).

Team prizes - a few weeks after the men took the team prize at the Tadworth 10, this weekend (26/01/14) they also took the team prize at The Perch. There were also individual awards for Neil Reissland (1st), Roger Bryant (1st M40) and Mary James (2nd).

A splendid turn-out of 51 for the inaugural Collingwood Mile Champs - The Andrew Griffin Mile. Winners were Neil Reissland and Mary James. Results

Congratulations to Andy Stalley on reaching a landmark 250th parkrun last Saturday (15/06/13)

Congratulations to Mel Johnstone - Guinness have now confirmed her as setting a world record for the youngest female to run 100 marathons, and her name is finally in print. Guinness

The club is growing all the time. We currently have around 100 members ranging from casual runners to the highly competitive.

If you're a teeny bit interested, why not try before you buy - come along to our HQ on a training evening (Tue/Thur 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start) and check us out.

Or you'll find us meeting for long runs on Sundays when we're not racing, on Stafford Rd., Wallington at Mellows Park car park (9:00am).

Runners of all standards welcome - this means you.

This site is for members and non-members alike. Hopefully you'll find some useful information within these pages whether you're with or without us. Although most of the results listed in the right hand pane are focussed on members' performances, there are many links to the full results of races as well.
If you're not a member - have you thought about joining a club? It can offer you some benefits:

training advice
cheaper race entries - save 2 or more on road race entry fees when you're a member of an affiliated club. Entry to league and most of the championship cross-country events is even cheaper - we pay your entry fee!
discounts in some of the better sports shops - 5 to 10% on production of your membership card
like-minded people to train with on those cold, wet nights, and even the warm and dry ones as well
