Wimbledon Common 4 x 2 mile Relay

Results Index

Heavy rain immediately before the start thankfully cleared just in time, leaving the course a little wet, but the competitors even wetter. Collingwood turned out 2 teams.
In the "A" team, Andy handed over marginally behind 3rd place, but Keith and Martin both dropped a place, leaving Rob to hold station for 6th.
The second race of the afternoon was to the nearest pub to catch the last 20 minutes of the England v Greece game.

Lloyd Park 5 Miles XC

Results Index

Despite a lot of rain in the past week and the night before, Lloyd Park was a great deal less muddy than on previous occasions.
Dan came up with another good run to place well, and Keith gained revenge on Martin for the xc at Wimbledon, but it came down to a sprint finish over the last 100m.
Terry gained another scalp, this time beating Jess, as did Ben, pipping him close to the finish.

Ewell Court 4 miles

Results Index

This year's race started on the track rather than the paths and so added a little extra to the distance (probably 4.2 miles) and also meant a little less congestion on the narrow paths.
Dan is getting closer to Andy all the time, being only 58s behind this time. A mere shirt's width divided Jess and Martin after a big burn-up on the run to the finish, and Chris gained revenge over Colin for last week at this shorter distance.
Our first team of 4 was 4th, but unfortunately we were one short of a second team
